Dr. Joseph Alshon is a highly respected physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. With a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to patient care, Dr. Alshon has made significant contributions to the field throughout his career. His journey began at Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Associates in Delray Beach, FL, where he honed his skills and gained extensive expertise.
Dr. Alshon obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Albright College and went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathy from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following his education, he completed a postdoctoral internship at Southeastern Medical Center and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital – Moss Rehabilitation Hospital. During his residency, he served as Chief Resident, further solidifying his leadership abilities and dedication to excellence.
Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Alshon has held key positions, including Chief of Staff at Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital and Medical Director of Pinecrest’s Multidisciplinary Pain Program. He has been actively involved in clinical co-directorship and managerial roles in various physiatric services and rehabilitation units. Dr. Alshon’s expertise extends to his affiliations with renowned medical institutions such as University Hospital & Medical Center in Tamarac, FL, and Broward Health / Coral Spring Medical Center in Coral Springs, FL.
